Details of the Fatal Collision

On Tuesday evening, a motorcyclist tragically lost his life in a crash in Pasco County, Florida. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on State Road 54 (SR-54).

The investigation revealed that a 54-year-old Harley Davidson motorcycle rider stopped at an intersection to yield to an oncoming fire truck. However, a Hyundai G80 driven by a 78-year-old New Port Richey man failed to stop and struck the motorcycle from behind.

Impact and Ejection

The impact of the collision caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from his bike. Paramedics rushed to the scene and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Hyundai G80 remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
