Pittsburgh, PA - January 23, 2024 - Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Year by NFL Network. Watt received 11 votes, beating out Cincinnati Bengals safety Jessie Bates III and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Third Time's a Charm
This marks Watt's third AFC Defensive Player of the Year award, joining an elite group of Steelers defensive legends. Only Hall of Famer Joe Greene has won the award more times (4).
