Novak Djokovic knocked out of Rome Open in third round
In a stunning upset, Chilean qualifier Alejandro Tabilo has defeated world number one Novak Djokovic in the third round of the Rome Open. Tabilo, ranked 145th in the world, produced a dominant performance to win 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday.
The victory is the biggest of Tabilo's career and marks the first time he has defeated a top-10 player. It is also the first time Djokovic has been knocked out of a clay-court tournament before the quarter-finals since 2017.
Tabilo will now face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals on Friday.
