Important New Pay Scales for Bavarian Employees!

Effective December 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023
Bavarian Finance and Homeland Minister Albert Füracker announced new pay scales for state employees, effective December 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023. These scales apply to all levels of government employees, including those in the Besoldungsgruppe (pay grade) A6 to A8. The revised tables also include adjustments to local and family allowances for the period 2020 to 2022.
For employees in Pay Grade A6 to A8, the changes include an increase in Euro compensation. The updated pay scales are available on the WEB Besoldungstabellen Bayern website and will remain in effect until September 30, 2023. The new pay scales are part of the government's commitment to fair and competitive compensation for its employees.

Effective December 1, 2023, to January 31, 2025
Further revised pay scales will be implemented on December 1, 2023, and remain in effect until January 31, 2025. These scales and any accompanying changes will be announced and made available on the WEB Besoldungstabellen Bayern website closer to the effective date.
